ABOUT JERRY KEANE
My interest in photography began a long time ago when my grandfather introduced me to his Rolleiflex Twin Lens Reflex camera. I was intrigued by the precision craftsmanship of the camera and captivated by the strange upside-down image on the ground glass screen. Soon I began taking my own photos and I quickly became immersed in the magic of photography.
During my life I have probably taken a million pictures and I continue to be amazed by the power of images and the impact they have on people. In recognition of that power, my approach to photography is simple – I use the camera as a canvas and light as the paint, and I try to capture images that are bold and impactful; images that tell a story in visual terms and create emotional responses in the viewer.
In my commercial endeavors I limit my work to people (portraits, corporate and family groupings) and things (products and physical structures). I am mindful of the end purpose for the images and I mold the process and the image making to get the desired result. I approach my work from both technical and artistic perspectives.
Enjoy your visit to my website and please give me a call if I can be of service to you.
